ParticipantsSchools registered in the Éclairs de sciences programSome 120 teachers from 39 Montréal schools are taking part in the Éclairs de sciences program for the 2011–2012 school year. On the South Shore, it’s 25 teachers from 7 different schools. As a result, more than 3,000 students are benefiting from the pedagogical and scientific guidance being provided to their teachers. A list of participating schools follows (with a link to the school's website where available), along with an interactive map showing the schools and their contact information.
View Les écoles Éclairs de sciences in a larger map Our participantsThe success of Éclairs de sciences rests on the work of many people. These include the forty-odd volunteer science consultants taking part this year, who provide scientific guidance and on-demand assistance; and some twenty pedagogical advisors, who provide teaching support during meetings and who organize certain Éclairs de sciences meetings for their own school boards or schools. School administrations also contribute to the program in several ways, such as granting time off for teachers, allocating funds for the purchase of scientific equipment, facilitating team planning meetings, or supporting their school-team in some other way. Finally, we would be remiss not to mention all the teachers who voluntarily take part in this professional development program in order to revitalize their teaching of science and technology. Last June, we organized an appreciation night to honour the remarkable work of our participants in 2010-2011. Below are a few photographs taken at the event.
